First Day of School 2016

It's official this year.  All of my children are going to school.  I cried dropping off my oldest at 8th grade – his last year at junior high.  And then I cried again while helping my youngest put on his backpack.  I reminded them over and over that they wouldn’t be alone, that family they cannot see would be surrounding them.

New school.  New friends.  New teachers.  New environment.  New job for Mom.

LOTS of prayers in this transition.

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true

May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you

May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong

-Bob Dylan-

I celebrated my newly restored independence by going on a longer-ish bike ride up Lucky Peak Reservoir.  And I spent time in the Boise Temple.

Time well spent.
