I Dig Brooklyn

This week I decided to brave the crowds and toll roads and venture into Brooklyn. I've never been there before, but thoughts of Betty Smith's famous borough made me nostalgic to find that perfect tree...

Anyway, I was expecting scenes like this -

But instead we found this -

Coney Island rocks!

The New York Aquarium wasn't bad either (loved being there with the Andersons!), and next time we'll set aside time for the famous Botanical Gardens. But the kids all agree - we're doing Brooklyn again soon.

I've wondered about Coney Island! Glad you had a great time! Another fun one in Brooklyn is the Botanical Gardens around cherry blossom time.

Seriously you guys have so much fun. I live vicariously through your blog, so keep it up. I will probably never travel to all these places. Unless of course you want some visitors sometime. :) I think the missionary couple thing will have to wait a few years. Ha-ha, but it is a great idea. I like the 6 month part.

Ever since we went out to the NY Aquarium I have been dying to go check out Coney Island, I am jealous. I guess we'll have to venture out there. We are also trying to get out to the NY Botanical Gardens, I've heard it's a great place to visit.

That looks so cool! I want to go to the beach so bad but will have to settle for our one night trip to St. George this year. Was that ice cream any good? Your kids are so dang cute.

Sara - actually we went for the cotton candy - MUCH easier to share amongst 3 little kids as opposed to 1 ice cream cone :)

I know living on the East Coast is expensive but man! look at all the fun things you get to do! I can't tell you how many times I've seen Provo Canyon.:)

Super-cool. And it looks like you might have braved this without hubbie? Wow, my area is so tame compared to yours.
